The Beginning
Created by Linahun and FyerPower, the 9Lives events started when these two amazing creators saw other content creators playing the Vault Hunters modpack either solo or in small groups and decided to bring them together. There didn’t appear to be a lot of connections between these small groups, so they decided to host an event to help bring these amazing Minecrafters together. What better way to do this than to thrust these modded Minecrafters into a Vanilla Minecraft world! Blaze and Cave’s Advancement Pack quickly became the tool to base the event on. Through all seasons of the event to date there have always been two constants: the gamer must have played Vault Hunters and must stream on Twitch. The Challenge
The event runs for one month. The player participants are placed onto teams based on time zones, stream times, experience with Blaze and Caves, and previous teams. The event is semi-hardcore since each team only has 9 lives shared amongst all team members. Subsequent deaths remove the player from the event, but the advancements completed by that participant up until that point count towards the team’s score. The winning team must have at least one participant alive at the end of the event and have the highest score in number of advancements completed.
